Why should artists/creatives go international? How do artists/creatives internationalise their work? What kinds of legislation and technical characteristics have to be considered? What is needed? Where should artists/creatives start?
This digital guide presents a series of tools and inspirations to help you understand the various ways of going international. In an internationalization process, you will deal with the strengths and weaknesses of your projects and organisation, but you will also have to study where are the places where your projects fit and how to upgrade your management skills to go international.
The guide is addressed to anyone who is interested in learning and starting its own path towards internationalising their artistic and creative project. The way in which information is presented potentiates users to dive into the information which is relevant to them and their projects.
The content was developed by Toni Gonzalez, expert in internationalisation and strategic development in the field of culture and creative industries. Toni is also a member of the board of IETM (Informal European Theatre Meeting), and accredited consultant on internationalisation by ICEX-NEX (Spanish export public agency), and ICEC - Catalan Arts (Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies) among others.

The Digital training guide on internationalisation helps you out with your internationalisation journey displaying five specific themes based on the International Readiness framework, a structure based on the following areas of investigation:
Theme 1 – Strategic approach: Capture the hotspots of (your) cultural & creative project and prioritize strategic next steps for going international.
Theme 2 – Offering: Identify tangible and intangible opportunities and challenges of and for (your) cultural & creative project in your region and abroad.
Theme 3 – Competencies: Reflect and spot the diverse set of competences of the internationalisation process: soft skills, hard skills and internationalization related skills.
Theme 4 – Means: Know and mobilise your internal and external resources.
Theme 5 – Ecosystem: Get inspired by your Ecosystem, the network and partnerships that are valuable for you to implement your internationalization process.
